Sustainable Technology Competition held in association of The Inventors Association
Here is that opportunity to show off that technology and ideas you have put together that relate to renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or environment conservation and natural living. Whether it be a grey water recycling system, a water pump, an ingenious way to reuse materials or equipment in the garden, home or on the farmlet.
Aim of the competition
To share your ideas with others and to help others to reuse and recycle materials and equipment. Most importantly it is to have fun showing off the things you have made. There are thousands of good ideas generated every year all over the world by individuals, many of these are lost because it is difficult to effectively tell people about these ideas and to help them implement them. The competition is aimed at “backyard” type technology – things people make in general for their own or friends use.
In many ways our economic and political systems actually suppress the spread and use of ideas that don’t fit into the mainstream economic rationalist framework. Many ideas face a “Catch 22” senario whereby they will not be taken seriously because they are not commonly available and are not commonly available because they are not taken seriously.
So now here is your chance – the ideas don’t need to be serious, pretty or expensive although it may help – they should be ingenious, fun and sustainable in a broad sense.
