The Sun Fair is aimed at introducing the people of Perth to sustainable living concepts, technology and lifestyles. Major themes of the fair include renewable energy, energy efficiency, environment conservation and natural living.

On Sunday 5th April 2009 people from all walks of life will come together on the Oak Lawn at the University of Western Australia to share information and experiences so they can return to their homes with a knowledge that they can make a difference to the future of the welfare of this planet and all its living systems.

The fair demonstrates that sustainable lifestyles are environmentally sound and cost effective and are very much an attainable reality.

Environmental change is a challenge facing all of us and will only be addressed when government, business and individuals act together to achieve a common goal of sustainable living.

Technology Competition Entries are now being accepted register now!

Solar Shop Australia has donated a fully installed 1.5kW Kaneka Grid Connect Solar System with a 2.7kW Inverter as a lucky door prize. This system can generate enough electricity to power approximately 25 - 80% of the average Australian household's power consumption and with a large inverter it is perfect for increasing the system's capacity in the future.

Getting There

The Perth Sun Fair is held on the Oak Lawn within the grounds of the University of Western Australia. We encourage all visitors to use public transport, cycle or walk if possible. The Oak Lawn is has plenty of bike stands available to leave and lock bikes. Plan your trip the easy way with Transperth Trip Planner http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/

Vehicle access is via Hackett Entrance 1 which is directly off Hackett Drive. Car Parks 3 & 4 provide plenty of free parking. Wheelchair, easy access via ramp beside the Law building.
