James Thier. James helped establish Australian Ethical Investment back in the 1980s. Australian Ethical is the most deep-green fund manager in Australia and now manages over $500 million on behalf of 18 000 investors and super members. He also helped establish the Centre for Australian Ethical Research and was a founding board member of the Responsible Investment Association. He has recently been a Churchill scholar to study shareholder advocacy in the US and Europe.
Money can be a pwerful tool in the fight against climate change. In his presentation James will explain what ethical investment is and how it can make a positive differece for investors, society and the environment.
